Terms of service.

The agreement

By creating a Garden Sentry account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. We've tried to write these in plain English; if something is unclear, let us know and we'll clarify.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. Garden Sentry is available worldwide wherever Ring cameras operate, but some features may be limited by region.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for any activity on your account. Please tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You can have one account per person; you may not share credentials commercially.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Garden Sentry to monitor people's private spaces or record individuals without consent
• Interfere with the service, attempt to reverse-engineer our detection models, or abuse our API
• Resell, redistribute, or white-label the service without a written agreement
• Use the service to harm, harass, or target animals in ways that violate local wildlife protection laws

We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

Subscription and billing

Garden Sentry is offered on monthly subscription plans. Pricing is shown on our pricing page and confirmed at signup. We charge monthly in advance; billing renews automatically until you cancel. Your free trial lasts 14 days; if you keep the service, your first paid month starts at the end of the trial.

Taxes may apply based on your billing address.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from Settings. Cancellation stops future billing; you'll keep access through the end of your current paid period. We don't offer prorated refunds for partial months, but we'll happily issue a full refund for a billing mistake — just write us.

Warranty disclaimer

Garden Sentry is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind. Detection accuracy depends on camera placement, lighting, weather, network conditions, and visitor behavior. We do not guarantee that any specific garden visitor will be recognized, deterred, or prevented from entering your garden.

Garden Sentry is not a security system. It is a garden-care assistant. Do not rely on it to protect people, pets, or property from harm.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Garden Sentry's total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including damage to property, crops, or wildlife.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, unless local law requires otherwise.
